These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things #1

I like making lists. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that my entire life is documented in lists, and I would be totally lost without my notebooks and the 'Notes' app on my phone. It helps me sort out my ridiculous thoughts and keep me semi-organised. That being said, I want to start a weekly post where I write about certain topics in list form, with today being three things that I loved this week. I can see this becoming a regular post so let me know if you enjoy it, but for now let's get cracking with my favourite things from the past week...

1) A visit from my best friend
I met my best friend (hey Han) at uni and now that I am doing a placement year I hardly ever get to see her. The last time I saw her was before Christmas (anyone else think that December feels like a lifetime ago?) so seeing her little face as she pulled into Nottingham coach station was definitely the highlight of my week. As always, we planned to go out for drinks and be the 'wild' 20 years olds that we are supposed to be but in reality we just stayed in and chatted all night (and ate ourselves into a coma with pic n mix). It was the best.

2) The Theory of Everything
Hannah and I eventually managed to haul ourselves out of bed and get to the cinema to see 'The Theory of Everything'. I'm no film critic but I thought it was wonderful and I was crying from half an hour in right up until the end. That doesn't really mean a lot because I cry at everything (I once cried telling someone that Disney's 'Frozen' had such a nice message about sisterly love, seriously) but it is well worth a watch if you are interested in Stephen Hawking, romance or just a beautiful story that reminds you not to take life for granted without being preachy.

3) Passion fruit
Last but not least, I have become OBSESSED with passion fruit in this last week. It is not an easy feat to buy exotic fruit when you live in a city centre and your only local shop barely stocks ripe bananas but I managed to find some in M&S. My love for the fruit started from my first passion fruit mojito and now I can't get enough. I cut them in half and scoop them out with a teaspoon which makes me feel like a kid! Perfect for a sweety/sour treat that tastes kind of like a tangfastic with less of the bad stuff.
